República Dominicana sigue su trayecto en busca de alcanzar más plaza para los venideros Juegos Olímpicos de París.
Tal es el caso del atletismo, que hasta la fecha solo tiene clasificados a los velocistas Marileidy Paulino y Alexander Ogando.
Un total de 18 atletas viajarán al Mundial de Relevos de Nassau, en Bahamas, pautado para desarrollarse el 4 y 5 del mes próximo, y conseguir una de las 16 plazas que hay para los Juegos.
Para la cita, en la que se espera que acudan 32 países, la delegación quisqueyana estará compuesta en la parte femenina, además de Marileidy, por Anabel Medina, Franshina Martínez, Mariana Pérez, Liranyi Alonso, Martha Méndez, Milagros Durán y Fiordaliza Cofil.
El relevo masculino, aparte de Ogando, lo conforman José González, Franquelo Pérez, Christopher Valdez, Erick Sánchez, Yeral Núñez, Juander Santos, Ismael Adon, Wilbert Encarnación y Melbin José Marcelino.
Los relevos competirán en las especialidades de 4×100, 4×400 y mixto.
La delegación viajara a Bahamas el próximo jueves.
Estarían viajando con los atletas el doctor Humberto Ortega; Gerardo Suero Correa, delegado y presidente de la Federación Dominicana de Atletismo, los entrenadores Félix Sánchez, Yaseen Pérez y Mariano Cedeño y el fisioterapeuta, Emilio Rodríguez.
Con la intensidad que solo el atletismo puede ofrecer, el Campeonato Mundial de Relevos de Atletismo de Bahamas promete ser un evento inolvidable para atletas y aficionados por igual.

El viaje a Bahamas está cubierto con los recursos otorgados por el Ministerio de Deportes a esa federación para sus procesos clasificatorios a los Juegos de París. La federación recibió este año aproximadamente 6 millones de pesos.

The Dominican Republic continues its journey in search of achieving more places for the upcoming Paris Olympic Games.
Such is the case of athletics, which to date only has classified the sprinters Marileidy Paulino and Alexander Ogando.
A total of 18 athletes will travel to the World Relay Championships in Nassau, in the Bahamas, scheduled to take place on the 4th and 5th of next month, and get one of the 16 places for the Games.

The relays will compete in the 4×100, 4×400 and mixed specialties.
The delegation will travel to the Bahamas next Thursday.

The trip to the Bahamas is covered with the resources granted by the Ministry of Sports to that federation for its qualifying processes for the Paris Games. The federation received approximately 6 million pesos this year.
