Jamaicans Kemba Nelson, Kevona Davis and Ackera Nugent finished last weekend’s (29 May) NCAA West Regionals with personal best times.
The NCAA West Regionals Live Stream, which was on YouTube, saw several other brilliant performances, especially from Athing Mu and Twanisha Terry.

In the women’s 100m hurdles, Nugent stormed to an impressive 12.76 seconds to be the West Preliminary Championships’ fastest going into nationals.

Nugent’s mark is the fourth fastest on the world U20 list. Jamaican Britany Anderson holds the world record with 12.71.

Americans Dior Hall, 12.74 and Chanel Brissett, 12.75, are just ahead of Nugent.

Fellow Jamaican Daszay Freeman, representing Arkansas, also qualified with 12.92.
