Trinidad and Tobago won the gold at the IAAF Men’s 4×400 World Relay Finals in Yokohama, Japan.
The team copped first with a time of 3:00.81, with Jamaica placing second with 3:01.57, and Belgium placing third with a time of 3:02.70.
The US relay team was disqualified for a lane infringement.
Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley praised the team in a Facebook post writing: Congratulations to T&T’s 4x400m relay team on winning gold at the IAAF World Relays in Yokohama, Japan this morning.
The T&T quartet of Deon Lendore, Asa Guevara, Jereem Richards and Machel Cendenio clocked a World Leading time of 3:00.81.
