Rob Guy informed the Board of Directors that he will be leaving his dual roles as Chief Executive Officer of Athletics Canada and President of the Athletics Canada Foundation effective Friday, Nov. 23.
“I have enjoyed the past eight years, I am proud of what we have accomplished and I have met and worked with some wonderful people. I wish all the best to Athletics Canada, the staff, our partners and supporters, but most importantly to our athletes in achieving their goals. My next challenge will be creating a national running club with a focus on getting more Canadians running.”
Athletics Canada’s Board Chair Bill MacMackin said “Throughout the last eight years Rob worked with member associations, government and funding agencies to drive Athletics Canada’s sport development priorities and programs. He spearheaded advancements in the association’s policy development, strengthening internal governance and enhancing a safe and welcoming sport environment. Rob played an important role in the success of our national programs.”
Athletics Canada wishes Rob all the best as he enters this new chapter of his life.
