INDIANAPOLIS — Six medalists and more than 40 members of the most successful team in World Athletics Championships history will don the red, white and blue for Team USATF again August 19-21 for the NACAC Open Championships at the Grand Bahama Sport Complex in Freeport, Grand Bahama.
 
World Championships women’s hammer gold medalist Brooke Andersen leads an American women’s squad that also features javelin silver medalist Kara Winger and hammer bronze medalist Janee Kassanavoid from the U.S. squad that won 33 total medals, 13 of them gold, and dominated the team scoring in Eugene last month.
 
Eugene relay gold medalists Bryce DeadmonJaide Stepter, and Kaylin Whitney are also in the 90-athlete Team USATF contingent that will compete for prize money, medals and valuable World Athletics ranking points at the NACAC meet. Athletes who win their event could be considered as having met the World Athletics qualifying standard for the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
