A team of 16 – including two-time world medallist Danniel Thomas-Dodd, world 60m hurdles leader Danielle Williams and multiple Olympic medallist Shericka Jackson – has been named for the World Athletics Indoor Championships Belgrade 22 on 18-20 March.

Williams clocked the quickest women’s 60m hurdles time of the season so far in February, when she recorded 7.75 in Clemson, and among the 2015 world 100m hurdles champion’s rivals in the event will be her teammate Britany Anderson, who is also selected.

Further hurdles strength comes from Ronald Levy, the Olympic 110m hurdles bronze medallist.

In the women’s shot put, Thomas-Dodd will be looking to go one better than the shot put silver she claimed in Birmingham four years ago, while Kimberly Williams will also want to add to a triple jump medal tally that includes world indoor silver and bronze.

Olympic 100m bronze medallist Jackson, who also claimed 4x100m gold and 4x400m bronze in Tokyo, drops down to contest the 60m along with Briana Williams, while Nigel Ellis contests the men’s event.

Natoya Goule improved her national record to 1:58.46 in Lievin last month and will be among the leading 800m contenders, while Roneisha McGregor, Stephenie Ann McPherson and Christopher Taylor are named for the 400m.
