MTQ – Baptiste Thiery crowned French National Decathlon champion

Baptiste Thiery, 2019 CARIFTA Pole Vault Gold, (MTQ) has just been crowned French National Decathlon champion today Sunday 20 September 2020, in Aubagne , France, with 7849 points.

2nd best French performance of all times, behind Kevin Mayer. 3rd best performance in the world.

Baptiste Thiery, 19, from the Jeunesse Sportive Franciscaine, became the French youth decathlon champion. He also beats the Martinique record.

At the end of the two days (19 and 20 September 2020), of the French youth championships in Combined event, the young Baptiste Thiery, 19 years old, licensed at the Jeunesse Sportive Franciscaine, obtains 7849 points and is ahead of his 14 other competitors.

Baptiste Thiery is the French champion in this demanding discipline which subjects the athlete to ten events. Here are his results:
