The annual CARIFTA Games Congress held on monday april 22nd, 2019 in the Cayman Islands, where members were welcome by the President of the CIAA, Lance Barnes and Cydonie Mothersill General Secretary of the CIAA, who chaired the congress.
Also, the members heard remarks and messages from the honorable Juliana Oçonnor-Connolly, Minister of Sports, from Lord Sebastian Coe, IAAF President and from the NACAC President, Prof. Victor Lopez.
The Bermuda Athletics Association President Donna Raynor and members of the Bermuda goverment, delivered a report about the progress of the organization of the 2020 CARIFTA Games that will be held in that nation. Finally, the congress awarded the 2021 CARIFTA Games to the nation of Guyana.
