Shaunae Miller-Uibo and Steven Gardiner were the stars of the Bahamas Championships on Friday (23 June) at the Bahamas National Stadium.

Miller-Uibo ran away with the women’s 200m in 22.21, well ahead of Tynia Gaither, 23.02 and Anthonique Strachan, 23.23.

Gardiner won the men’s 400m in 44.66 ahead of Michael Mathieu 45.93 and Ramon Miller 46.13. Veteran Chris Brown was sixth in 47.01
Shaquania Dorsette took the top spot in the women’s 400m with 52.57 ahead of Lanece Clarke, 53.04.

The men’s 200m was taken by Shavez Hart in 20.58 ahead of Michael Mathieu, 20.67 and Teray Smith, 21.02.

Sub-13 in the women’s 100m hurdles went to Devynne Charlton, 12.95 to beat Adanaca Brown, 13.49.

Bianca Stuart won the women’s long jump with 6.12m (-2.8m/s wind).

Tynia Gaither won the women’s 100m in 11.47 ahead of Strachan, 11.50 (-1.1m/s wind).
Warren Fraser topped the men’s 100m in 10.31 ahead of Teray Smith 10.35 and Shavez Hart, 10.36.
