Estimados Miembros de la Familia del Atletismo de APA:
Es con gran placer y alegría que les notifico que ayer recibí una llamada del Presidente de la Federación Peruana de Atletismo, Gustavo Cárdenas, quien me dio la gran noticia que El Campeonato Panamericano Juvenil Sub20, se llevara a cabo en el Estadio Chan Chan en la bella ciudad de Trujillo, Perú, Julio 21-23, 2017. Me informo el Presidente Cárdenas que todo en Trujillo esta en orden, con el apoyo total e incondicional del Alcalde y ademas el estadio es un estadio totalmente de Atletismo y es una joya pues tiene todas las condiciones de un estadio de nivel mundial. Por lo tanto, es de vital importancia que Perú siga usando ese estadio de gran envergadura y se sigan llevando al mismo grandes competencias y/o campeonatos.
De manera que los exhorto a que hagan sus planes de viaje aéreo hasta Trujillo. La ruta seria volar a Lima y de ahí a Trujillo que esta a 40 minutos en avión.
Trujillo esta listo para recibir a la Familia de APA y harán un Campeonato de gran envergadura.
Muy pronto recibirán el Manual de Equipo con toda la información necesaria pero los exhorto a que comiencen a trabajar en las reservaciones de viaje para conseguir las mejores tarifas.
Deseamos que todos los 41 paises miembros de APA esten presentes en este campeonato que convoca a los futuros atletas mundialistas y olimpicos del Hemisferio Americano.
Tambien deseo informarles que la Asamblea General bianual de la APA se llevara a cabo en Trujillo. Tambien las asociaciones de entrenadores de NACAC (NACACTFCA) y Consudatle (ASEA) se han unido para celebrar un Congreso (Conferencias) durante el Campeonato y exhortamos a todos los entrenadores a que asistan a este importante evento de educacion continua.
Nos vemos en Trujillo y no escatimen en comunicarse con nuestra oficina y con el Presidente Cardenas para cualquier informacion.

Dear Members of the Association of Panamerican Athletics (APA),
It is with great pleasure and happiness that I inform you that yesterday I received a call from the President of the Peru Athletics Federation,Mr. Gustavo Cardenas, to inform me that the 2017 Panamerican U20 (Juniors) Championships is going to be held in Trujillo, Peru at the Chan Chan Stadium, del 21 al 23 de julio 2017, which was the original site and it has one of the best stadiums that I have seen in the hemisphere. It is a first class stadium with a Mondo track and all the conditions and facilities to host a first class world caliber competition.
Also Trujillo is a beautiful city in the North of Peru right on the Pacific coast and only 40 minutes by air from Lima. Therefore I would like to encourage you to start working in the travel reservation arriving in Lima and from there a short flight to Trujillo. Also, Trujillo has beautiful hotels, four and five stars, that will be used as the accommodations for all the APA Family and the athletes.
Soon the Team Manual will be send to all the MFs and if you need any urgent information you can communicate with our office and/or the Peru Federation.
I will like to inform you that the biannual APA General Assembly (Congress) will be held in Trujillo during the U20 Championships. Also the NACAC Coaches Association (NACACTFCA) and the South America Coaches Association (ASEA) will be holding the Annual Coaches Congress there and we would encourage all the coaches to attend the Congress.
Please do not hesitate on contacting us for more information but I want to remind you that this is one of the best and top Junior (U20) championships in the World and it is a must that every MFs bring their best athletes to Trujillo. The stadium is state of the art and the conditions are optimal.
